As we journey to Lutheran Week 2019, our Moments of Mission series continues.
This week’s Moment of Mission comes from the Gudina Tumsa Foundation (GTF U.S.)
The story begins at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland, Ohio, with a group of every-day people who simply took the Great Commission seriously. They used the gifts that God had given them (their vocation) and made their first journey to Ethiopia to serve.
They were incredibly blessed by our brothers and sisters, and couldn’t help but say yes to the future endeavor God had called them to.
Working with the Gudina Tumsa Foundation in Ethiopia to develop a non-profit officially registered in the US, joining the NALC in Dallas for Lutheran Week, becoming a recognized ministry in the NALC, continuing to serve side-by-side in Ethiopia, and using what they are learning overseas and integrating it into every day life in North America. Working to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with “the whole person.” Their work is an inspiration and challenge to each one of us to do the same!
