Join us on July 17th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm and July 18th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM for NALC Disaster Response Volunteer Training.<\/strong> Through Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owosso, Michigan, we are offering the training online. We are looking forward to an interactive session and lots of opportunities for our congregations to serve when disasters strike. NALC Disaster Response Task Force is providing disaster preparedness training at Level One Basic and Level Two Specialized.\u00a0\u00a0These educational workshops will provide training to volunteers in each participating congregation, preparing each to form disaster volunteer teams.\u00a0\u00a0Each Mission District assists in the formation of teams and the preparedness training.\u00a0\u00a0Recognized credentials will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disaster Volunteer training includes components on:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Active Shooter\/Church Safety:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Does your church have a safety plan?\u00a0\u00a0Are you prepared for an intruder?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Level One <\/strong>(unskilled disaster response for debris removal and basic information on FEMA regulations)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Level Two<\/strong> (specialized trainings) including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
