Dear Great Commission Society Partners,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and from his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. What a gift to be related through God’s great promise to each of us.
In the few years it has been up and running, the Society already has supported mission projects among the Oromo people in Chicago, Columbus, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, and Minneapolis and has extended support to our mission starts in California, Virginia, Iowa, Florida, Ohio, New York, Rhode Island, and multiple mission congregations in Pennsylvania, Texas, and the Carolinas.
We are writing to ask you to partner or renew your Society partnership in this year, and each year following. Congregations may partner or renew for $100 per month, or $1200 per year, and individuals may partner or renew at $10 per month, or $120 annually. You may send in your checks with the form and brochure, or you may renew online at The Great Commission Society. United in Christ and participating financially through the Society, our resources can be used to do great things!
Your partnership funds will be used for emergency purposes, where unanticipated expenses have hampered mission congregations or global workers in the field, as well as to fund costs of new mission starts.
Bishop Bradosky has invited all congregations in the NALC to join the movement with the “1 x 1 x 1 Vision” that calls for every congregation, small or large, to have an active, intentional relationship supporting a local community ministry, one of the NALC mission congregations in North America, and one global mission. Taking the next step in moving from membership to discipleship, we encourage you to look at our updated webpage (www.thenalc.org/GCS) to see the other mission support opportunities available to you. You may read about projects needing financial support and select those which especially interest you, then send your support directly. In this way you can have a direct relationship with the mission projects you select. All of these opportunities have been vetted by a Great Commission Society committee and selected as worthy of our support. You may also submit a project (perhaps one currently funded by your local congregation) to this team for consideration of support from other Society partners.

I wonder if you are aware of a British society called The Great Commission Society (GCS) which trails its work and seeks support online.
I raise this in case confusion occurs between the two organisations and for the reason that the founder and driving force behind the British GCS is the former founder of Avanti Ministries and author of the book “Taming the Tiger”. His name is Tony Anthony (alias – Andonis Athanasiou) who was revealed as a liar and fantasist and whose history can be read about on the wikipedia page about him – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Anthony_(evangelist)
Yes! There are actually quite a few different organizations and non-profits named “The Great Commission Society” here in the US and around the world.
