Unveiled – The Rev. Dona Johnson

The Rev. Dona Johnson is the pastor of GracePointe and is an ordained pastor in the NALC. Her ministry experience includes congregational life, teaching, stewardship, and mental health. Pastor Dona also serves as the chair of the NALC’s Living and Giving Stewardship Team.

Pastor Dona has also chaired a mental health denominational task force and the board of directors for The Castle, a nonprofit day drop-in program for those who live with mental illness and disabilities. Prior to serving as a pastor in the NALC, she also served as an architecture professor at two universities. Pastor Dona holds a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, OH, a Masters of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and a Fellow with AIA/AHA. She lives with her husband Mike in Sedona, AZ. She loves to teach, hike, and read.

Unveiled – Bethesda Lutheran Communities

Bethesda is a Lutheran service organization that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full lives in a loving Christian environment. Bethesda provides homes, programs, resources and faith supports for people with disabilities. They strive to educate, advocate and fully integrate people into welcoming congregations and communities. Focusing on Psalm 139, Bethesda rejoices in knowing we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator, exactly the way He intended us to be.

Unveiled – Steve Bell

Steve Bell is a songwriter, storyteller, and troubadour for our time. Over the course of a 30 year solo career, he has been sharing a message of love, hope and faith through songs, stories, and writings. He is a purveyor of truth and beauty and champion of kindness, on a focused mission for “refreshing Christian faith and spiritual tradition for the weary and the wary.” He is a mentor to many, and an advocate of numerous meaningful causes.

Unveiled – The Rev. Todd Cook

The Rev. Todd Cook is serving at Miller’s Lutheran Church in Hickory, North Carolina. After serving our country for more than 20 years in the US Air Force, Todd felt God’s call for him to enter the ministry. He attended seminary, graduating in 2017, and was called to Miller’s as his first call. He and his wife Wendy have 2 boys, Ross and John.

Unveiled – The Rev. Susan Fox

The Rev. Susan Fox serves First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgway, Pennsylvania.  Pastor Fox graduated from National College of Business, Rapid City, South Dakota; Dakota State University, Madison, South Dakota; Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa.  

Before entering Word and Sacrament ministry, Pastor Fox spent 25 years in the business world, serving as an administrative assistant to presidents, vice-presidents, and treasurers. She has experience working with the needs, challenges, and expectations of boards of directors.  She is also a former high school business/computer science teacher.

In ministry, Pastor Fox has served both four-point and three-point parishes, working well with each congregation’s leadership team. Currently, she serves on the In-Tents Lutheran Camp Board and the NALC’s Renewal Team.

Pastor Fox also enjoys gardening, cooking/baking, genealogy, quilting, swimming, camping, and spending time with her five children and nine grandchildren.

Unveiled – The Rev. Tony Ede

The Rev. Tony Ede graduated from Waldorf College, where he earned an associate of arts in electronic communications and a bachelor of arts in multimedia communications. Graduating from Luther Seminary in 2006, Tony worked as a graduate teaching assistant in the homiletics department, helping to teach classes on using media and technology in worship and preaching.  Pastor Ede has served at Bethany Lutheran Churches in the Danish Village of Kimballton, Iowa; as the teaching pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Webster City, Iowa; and currently serves as the senior pastor at First Evangelical Lutheran in Manchester, Iowa. As part of his commitment to lifelong learning, Tony earned an MBA in 2017 from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, with a concentration in organizational development. Following a long family tradition, Tony is a nationally certified firefighter and EMT and has used these skills to serve in the community, as well as in disaster response statewide. Tony was married to LeAnn at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton, Iowa, on August 17th, 2002. They have three sons that keep them busy: Carver, Liam, and Burke.
