After visiting cities and small towns in the Kongo Central Province, we found that eye diseases are becoming a serious issue. One of the small towns called Kuakua may have over fifty blind individuals and that number continues to increase. What a great weekend! The NALC Canadian Mission District Youth Gathering, May 17-20 at LCBI High School and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Outlook, Saskatchewan, was a fantastic experience with over 100 people in attendance, including more than 70 youth, as well as chaperones, pastors, musicians and camp/school representatives coming from Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.Continue reading “Canadian Youth Gathering”
